Hot Spring

A natural hot spring is an opening in the earth that connects to an aquifer below that is being heated by the geothermal system that exists below the surface. In this way, a hot spring first and foremost relates symbolically to emotional expressions that are of a more passionate nature and that bubble up from below the surface of consciousness. For the most part, since a hot spring is associated with relaxation and health, this is a very positive symbol relating to the benefits that can be gained when you allow feelings from below the surface of your consciousness to slowly and methodically surface and be expressed.... Nature And The Seasons

Dreams that feature images of natural settings relate to those parts of your being that are natural or not molded by conscious ambitions and desires.

In the earliest religions, nature was thought to be alive with a multitude of spirits. The nature spirits were worshipped in order to maintain a harmony with them. Civilization and the advance of technology have inhibited our contact with those elemental energies and spirits. Your dreaming mind may, however, take you on a journey to the realm of nature spirits where you can explore or confront various elements of your unconscious. To go into nature in your dreams is therefore to go into the wilderness of your unconscious where you will encounter primordial instincts. For Freudians, these basic instincts would be sexual, whilst Jung would see natural settings as symbolic of the nurturing but sometimes harsh mother archetype.

Dreams of nature may also reflect your sense of being grounded or connected to Mother Earth. The dream environment may represent your core essence, unaffected by personality traits, your bare nature or something that comes naturally to you and is second nature. Finally, the great outdoors is usually seen as a surrounding that is supposed to bring relaxation and have a calming, nurturing effect on people; your dream may therefore be prompting you to take some time out from your busy routine. Pilgrimage Season

(Mecca; Pilgrimage) Performing a pilgrimage during its season in a dream means dispelling one’s worries, distress, apprehensions or trouble. Praying or delivering a sermon at the valley of Mina during the pilgrimage season in a dream, and if neither the person seeing the dream or anyone in his family or clan qualify for that, it means that someone with the same name among his acquaintances will do so.

If this is not feasible, it means that he may face adversities, though become known for his good nature and deeds.

If a learned person sees himself delivering a sermon at Mina, and if the people listen to him attentively in the dream, it means that he will rise in station and lead his people, or he could be appointed as a project manager or become an administrator.

If one does not complete his sermon or prayers in the dream, it means that he will attain such a position, though he will be quickly removed from it.

Seasons

Seasons in flux: Transformation of some sort, often age or activity related.

Autumn: The realization of maturity, and harvest from hard labors. Potentially also the need to conserve despite bounty; putting things in order before inclement “weather” (literally or figuratively) puts everything on hold.

Winter: A time of rest, or a cooling-off period when things can be reevaluated (see Ice, Snow).

Spring: A new beginning, refreshed hope, and the first signs of progress or growth with regard to a specific circumstance. Also, fertility (see Rain).

Summer: Warm feelings, potentially becoming “hot” (like a tiff turning to an all-out argument, or simple flirtation becoming passion). Alternatively, profuseness of energy and increased social activity (see Fire).... The Language of Dreams

Seasons

Seasons are symbolically ages of mankind: spring is for childhood; summer, youth; fall, maturity, and winter, old age and sterility.

If you dream that the seasons occur in order it indicates that you need to live one thing at a time. Otherwise, you would have to analyze their meaning separately. Seasons can represent the state of your mind and the psychological and material conditions that prevail in it. This symbol reminds us that everything is variable and renewable. (See WINTER, FALL, SPRING, and SUMMER)

The Seasons

The words of Ecclesiastes, ‘to everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven’, echo in many facets of dream-lore. The seasons of the year over the ages have come to represent the natural progression of your life, representing change and renewal, as well as your state of mind. They also relate to the four elements: winter represents earth; spring symbolizes rain or water; summer, heat and fire; and the winds of autumn, air.... The Element Encyclopedia

Waterfall / Fountain / Spring / Rapids / Well

Dreams of a waterfall or rapids may be referring to birth, especially ones in which you are swept along in a warm stream of water through a tunnel and emerge into a pool or lagoon, as it is thought that we all carry the memory of birth in our unconscious. On the other hand, the dancing waters may be reflecting your sense of happiness and exuberance in waking life. A dream of a fountain (suggests womanhood) or a hosepipe (suggests manhood) may have a sexual connotation.

If the jet was weak, then it may suggest that sexual desire is not matched by emotional commitment (or the other way round) A steady flow of water is probably symbolic of confidence in waking life.

In dreamland, springs can represent a source of untapped creativity and they can also hint at wisdom, because another name for spring is fount, suggesting ‘fount of all knowledge’. Wells in dreams can hint at emotional rebirth or good fortune, as wishing wells have been credited with wish- fulfillment for centuries. So if you dreamed of drawing water from a well, what is it that you long for? Because wells are sources of water, it could be that your waking life has become emotionally dry and that you are thirsting for a revival of feeling.... The Element Encyclopedia
