One of the first flowers of spring, the dainty white snowdrop symbolizes hope, new life and fresh opportunities after a period of darkness. In Victorian Britain, the snowdrop was called the flower of friendship because it pushes through the snow each spring, acting as a sign that winter is coming to an end.
