(Alligator; Thief) A crocodile in a dream represents a policeman.

A crocodile in the water in a dream represents a person no one can trust, whether he is a friend or a foe.

A crocodile in a dream also represents a thief or an untruthful merchant.

If one sees a crocodile pulling him into the water where he kills him in the dream, it means that one will be caught by a policeman who will kill him, then steal his property.

Ifone sees himselfeating the meat or flesh of a crocodile, or if one sees himself dragging a crocodile out of the water in a dream, it means that he will triumph against his enemy or opponent.

Incident

It is related that Abdullah bin Zubair (RA) saw in his dream that he is engaged in a duel with Abdul Malik ibn Marwan, defeating the latter.

The former also sees himself pinning his foe to the ground by means of four nails. When he awoke in the morning, he sent his man to Muhammad bin Sireen (RA) for the interpretation of the dream. He also cautioned him not to reveal to the Imaam the name of the one who saw the dream, nor the winnr nor the loser. When the Imaam heard this he exclaimed: “This is not your dream! Nor can anyone except Abdul Malik ibn Marewan or Abdullah bin Zubair see such a dream!” The Imaam decline to interpret the dream.

The person returned to Abdullah bin Zubair and informed him tof the Imaam’s refusal to interpret the dream until the real person who had seen the dream is not known. Abdullah bin Zubair 9RA) sent his messenger back to tell the Imaam that it was he who had seen the dream When the Imaam was informed to this and the fact that the loser was Abdul Malik bin Marwan he said that Ibne Marwan will gain victory over Abdullah bin Zubair, killing him in the process. Thereafter, the chain of Khilafat will reamin in the family of ibne Marwan. This interpretation was given because of the fact that ibne Marwan was pinned to the ground by means of four nails.

The interpretation turned out to be exactly as the Imaam had stated!.... Islamic Dream Interpretation

Bee

”A dream both good and bad. Good if the bees sting not, bad if they sting. Bees flying about the ears signify harassment by enemies, but to beat them off without being stung signifies victory over foes. Seeing bees profit to country people and trouble to the rich.

To dream that they make their honey in the house signifies dignity, eloquence and success to the occupants.

To be stung by a bee denotes vexation and trouble.

To take bees augurs profit.

A dream of bees is auspicious to plowmen and to thosei profiting from this industry, to others this dream signifies trouble by reason of the noise bees make, wounds by reason of their sting, and sickness by reason of their honey and wax. Jupiter is said to have been nourished by bees, and in his infancy Pindar was supposedly fed on honey instead of milk. They were sacred to Artemis and they appear on her statues and on her coins; Mahomet admits bees to Paradise. In modern Christian art they symbolize industry.... The Fabric of Dream

The embryo or foetus would therefore symbolise such feelings. See baby. ... A Guide to Dreams and Sleep Experiences

Armour

Armour may symbolize efforts to protect ourselves against emotions that fill us with anxiety. Whereas the armour on an animal or a tank protect against external dangers, the armour-plating we construct is a defence against internal threats. Needless to say, such construction is misdirected labour: the ‘foes’ within must be disarmed, but this can be done only by accepting them, which means, first, acknowledging their existence, and secondly, entering into dialogue with them, giving them a fully sympathetic hearing.... Pearl

(1) Pearls have associations with water, shells and the moon (same shape and colour), all of which are symbols of the feminine in its positive, creative aspects. A pearl may therefore signify new life; a possibility of personal growth. In a woman’s dream it may even, by its resemblance to a foetus, represent pregnancy. See also Moon, Shell, Water.

(2) It may be a symbol of the self: personal wholeness, in which conscious and unconscious halves of the psyche are united (cf. the New Testament ‘pearl of great price’, the finding of which is worth the sacrifice of everything else).... A Dictionary of Dream Symbols

Room

(1) A room may represent the self, or some aspect of yourself.

(2) It may be a symbol of the womb. Freud tells of a dream in which a girl (the dreamer) entered a room six or eight times and every time saw her father sitting there. Freud saw the dream as expressing the girl’s fantasy of having seen her father come into her mother’s womb while the girl was still a foetus.

(3) If the room is a cellar or basement, it may symbolize vour unconscious.

If it is a room at or near the top of a high building, it may represent consciousness; idealism; loftv aspirations. (But of course an upstairs room may nevertheless symbolize libido, instinctive life and desires: for example, if it is a bedroom where sexual activity is taking place.)

(4) A suite of rooms may express a male dreamer’s polvgamous sexual desires. This docs not mean he is polygamous in real life. On the contrary, he might well be shocked bv the dream. What such a dream exemplifies is the way the unconscious compensates or balances the conscious self: a polygamous person might have monogamous dreams!

Dream It With Flowers

In Victorian America and Europe, flowers were attributed with specific meanings by young men and women who used them during courtship to send messages to each other, whether in a forthright manner or by more clandestine means. Straightforward romantic or poetic thoughts were conveyed by the presentation of a single bloom, whilst lengthier messages were communicated by larger arrangements.

Love and happiness were not the only feelings expressed by these floral epistles. Infidelity, jealousy, disdain and rejection were also expressed by a suitably chosen bloom. Whilst a simple flower may have been sent to a young lady to propose marriage, another seemingly innocuous blossom may have been sent in response, telling the gentleman caller to ‘get lost’. The color of the flower was extremely significant; to cite a few examples, red usually meant love, yellow indicated friendship, lavender suggested enchantment, and orange fascination.

As far as dream interpretation goes, the list of meanings is seemingly endless, as nearly every flower has been attributed with a specific meaning at some point in time. In Victorian times, the range of available flowers was limited, and so certain flowers had specific meanings; today, with so many flower choices, there are no rules—it’s the sentiment and personal association that gives the flower meaning to you in a dream. For those interested in the historic or generally accepted meanings of flowers, the list below has been compiled from a variety of different sources, including the American Society of Florists.
