Cash / Money

The appearance of cash or money in your dream represents those things you value in life, or perhaps your feelings of self-confidence. It can also signify, your energy, personal resources or what you feel about yourself. In some cases, dreams of cash or money link in with feelings of hardship or misery associated with the struggle to survive or pay your way. For Jung, money appears in dreams as a symbol of spiritual power and represents your ability to achieve your goals; in many dreams, money can depict your personal sense of power to change things or the power you feel you have over others; what you pay in order to satisfy your desires or actions can also relate to sexuality and self-giving.

For Freud, money is a symbol of excrement and dreams of hoarding money express an anal fixation, perhaps caused by the parents mishandling the dreamer’s toilet training in childhood. Such dreams may therefore suggest an obsessively orderly and obstinate personality. Dreams of a pile of coins are especially potent symbols of anal preoccupations.

Most modern dream analysts believe that dream money or cash is a symbol of security, although it may also indicate things of intrinsic value to you or the way in which you value yourself. Whenever you dream of money and those things with which it is associated—such as shopping, writing checks, banks, investments, prizes or wills—you should consider whether they are commenting on the importance of things with a non-materialistic value in your waking life. Bear in mind, too, that money can represent emotional transactions in waking life.

Giving money may signify a generosity of spirit or kindness, or it may reflect emotional ties. Receiving money can suggest the acceptance of emotional support, whilst borrowing money may be a warning to pay attention to your current spending levels. Dreaming of a lack of money can suggest a lack of qualifications or the need to achieve a desired goal and hoarding money can indicate selfishness. Finding money suggests that you are realizing something valuable or gaining power; such a dream is often accompanied by a feeling of release from stress. Holding on to money in your dream signifies feeling insecure, or being ‘tight’ emotionally or sexually; it is also a symbol of not using your power to get what you want. Losing money is a symbol of losing power or opportunity, or can simply represent the pain of loss. Not having enough money indicates a sense of being inadequate or may even be reminding a man about his failing potency. Stolen money represents feelings of guilt about gaining power, a sense that you do not deserve what you get; it may also reveal a sense of feeling cheated or feeling that others are taking us for granted. Perhaps you have given yourself cheaply in sex or in a relationship. According to ancient dream-lore, it was considered fortunate to dream of receiving or finding money, with some traditions going further and saying that a dream of finding money means a birth. Money dreams, of course, may simply reflect anxieties about your finances.... The Element Encyclopedia

Childhood Recollections

(1) Many dreams repeat or allude to childhood experiences and impressions. Nearly all such dreams have a therapeutic purpose, giving us a clearer view of ourselves, perhaps showing us some attitude or pattern of behaviour that has been with us since childhood, and perhaps even showing us the original cause of it.

Unfulfilled instinctual desires provide the energy for manv of our dreams, and the fact that an instinctive desire remains unfulfilled may be connected with a traumatic experience in childhood. That experience has probably been repressed because it was traumatic - causing guilt, anxiety, fear of punishment. (For repression) Your dreams may, therefore, be helping you to uncover the source of these blockages which inhibit the free flow of the natural forces within you.

(2) Recurring dreams may represent some psychic disturbance or problem that originated in childhood. Here are some examples:

Dreams of being naked may sometimes represent recollections of, and perhaps longing for, the paradise of childhood when one w alked

around unclothed without embarrassment. (Sometimes these dreams, as Freud said, express a desire for someone of the opposite sex to present himself / herself in the nude, and stem from sexual frustration.)

Dreams of flying or falling may derive from childhood enjoyment of swings and see-saws. They may express straightforward yearnings for the remembered joy of childhood, but they may also reflect one’s present state of unhappiness and a futile desire to retreat from one’s problematic adult life. A problem is not a thing; rather, it is a relationship - for example, a relationship of conflict either between your external circumstances and your inner wishes (in which case the solution consists in either remov ing yourself from the circumstances or modifying your wishes) or between one part of your psyche and another (in which case the solution is to integrate the part that has been neglected). See also Falling, Flying.

Dreams of failure stem from childhood fears of disapproval from parents. However, die fact that your dreams contain these recollections suggests that you have programmed yourself for anxiety.

If so, begin by loving the child that is still within you: reassure it, tell it that everything is all right and that there is no such thing as failure where there is love. See also Failure.

(3) Dreams which contain recollections of yourself as a free and happy child may indicate a desire to find your true self. The child is then a symbol of the complete and permanent inner freedom and joy which are enjoyed only when you have become acquainted with all the forces within you - both conscious and unconscious - and have established harmonious relationships among them. See also Child, sections (2)-(4).

(4) The child may represent the primitive psyche with which your conscious ego needs to get acquainted if wholeness is to be achieved. This primitive psvche is the mind of humankind in its infancy, before the development of self-consciousness and reasoning. This original awareness is still with us, but buried in unconsciousness.... Collective Unconscious

Jung describes this as the inherited potentialities of human imagination.

It is the all controlling deposit of ancestral experiences from untold millions of years, the echo of prehistoric world events to which each century adds an infinitesimal small amount of variation and differentiation. These primordial images are the most ancient, universal, and deep thoughts of mankind.’

Jung tried to explain his observation of a strata of being in which individual minds have their collective origin in a genetic way. This seems unlikely, and Rupert Sheldrake sees it as a mental phenomena. Dr Maurice Bucke called it cosmic consciousness. J.B. Priestley saw it as ‘the flame of life’ which synthesised the experience of all living things and held within itself the essentials of all lives.

If we think of it as a vast collective memory of all that has existed, then we can say the life of Edgar Cayce exhibited a working relationship with it.

Such a collective level of mind would explain many things, such as telepathy, out of body experiences, life after death, which have always been puzzling because they are difficult to explain using presently known principles. ... A Guide to Dreams and Sleep Experiences

Father

The dream images representing father are many: God, a god, a giant, a tyrant, executioner, devil. Pan—and of course father.

A child is, figuratively, like a growing plant. It takes in lumps of external material and transforms them into its own being.

A child unconsciously either takes father or mother as its main model for structuring its behaviour and aims. But also, huge areas of our basic self revolve around mother and father. Even not having an available father leaves an enormous imprint in this archetypal area. Our father in our dreams therefore is most often the overall effect, habits, traits, which arise from our experience—or lack of it—of our father. Father is also the great figure of original authority and strength in our life. He therefore depicts our relationship with outside authority or power. Struggle or seeking to placate father: may show how we deal with authority.

Our baby or child self has no restraints and, in its relationship with father, at times felt urges which as an adult we might find hard to believe or accept. In our dreams we frequently release these urges. Killing father: expressing anger, getting rid of him so there is no competition for mother, gaining your own ability to make decisions and be independent. At some point we need to kill him inside us to claim whatever strength we can from our experience of him and become independent. Sex with father: for the woman fulfilment of childhood desires to possess; for a man desire to receive his love.

The father may not easily have shown his love, so the child becomes desperate to receive. Burying father most likely same as killing; or facing his death and one’s own independence. ... A Guide to Dreams and Sleep Experiences

If the relationship with father has been successful in waking life, the dream image will tend to be a positive one. Father represents authority and the conventional forms of law and order.

If the relationship with father has been a difficult or negative one, there may be some resistance in waking life to resolving the various conflicts that will have arisen. Often this can be accomplished spontaneously in dreams. In a man’s life father becomes a role model, whether appropriate or not.

It is often only when the individual realizes that he is not being true to his own nature that dreams can point the way to a more successful life and perhaps an understanding of his father. In a woman’s life, father is the ‘pattern’ on whom she bases all later relationships with men. When she appreciates that she longer need use this pattern, she is often able to work out in dreams a more appropriate way to have a mature relationship. Father

The presence of your father in a dream may not be symbolic at all, but a straightforward representation of him, or of the way you see / remember him (which may owe more to your subjective distortions than to what your father actually is or was). In any case, the reason for your father appearing in the dream will be shown by the part he plays in the dream story.

(1) Specially for men, father may be a conscience figure.

If this is the case, bear in mind that your father’s prohibitions and commands will probably represent either conventional moral opinions which may have no relevance to your true nature or ‘destiny5, or irrational fears and feelings of guilt that began to take shape in you in early childhood. (On Oedipus complex)

(2) For a woman, father may figure in a dream as one who generates affection (see Introduction, page 26).

(3) If father features in the dream as a protector, it may be that you need to ‘grow up’ and rely on your own resources. After all, life can hurt you only if you let it, only if you identify with your emotional self instead of with that deep layer of yourself that is immune to life’s pains and perils.

(4) If you dream of your father dying, this may be a wish-fulfilling dream. Feelings of hostility towards parents are common, stemming

from childhood feelings of resentment or envy. See also Dead / Death, section (3).

(5) Frequent appearances of either parent, or both, in dreams may be a sign that you have not thrown off an infantile over-dependence on them (see (3) above). Jung cites a young man’s dream in which the man’s father appeared as a drunken driver, smashing his car into a wall. This was the exact opposite of the real father, who was a most respectable person, righdy - but too much - respected by the son. What the unconscious was doing through the dream was dethroning the father in order to enable the son to achieve a proper sense of himself as a person in his own right, with his own unique destiny and value.

(6) Father may be an animus figure, representing a woman’s (unconscious) masculine qualities. In this case, the dream may be suggesting that she should cultivate this contrasexual side of her nature. (For animus, see Brother / Sister, section (4))

(7) Father may, if highly respected (and properly so), appear in a dream as a Wise Old Man figure. See also Wise Old Man) For father represented by an animal, see Animal(s).... A Dictionary of Dream Symbols

Father

The interpretation of a dream whose central image is your father depends largely on the relationship that you have with him in real life. At a simple level, maybe the dream is offering you a bit of “fatherly” advice that you should consider. Or perhaps it refers to the masculine aspect of your personality, encouraging you to be more energetic.

If the father of the dreamer was ineffective as such, the dream may refer to an unconscious search for the father figure. However, if he was too strict, perhaps the dream is warning you not to repeat this behavior with yourself or with your own children. To dream of the death of your father may reflect your desire to break family ties and start being more independent. The father represents command, laws, and rules. In dreams, usually he appears through figures like a king, an emperor, a wise old man, the sun, or a weapon. Therefore, it symbolizes the world of moral precepts and prohibitions that restrain instincts. Thus, in dreams, the father often embodies traditional morality and the principle of authority.

It is no wonder, then, that in adolescence (formative period) it is very common for dreams of the father to appear, often as a hostile, tyrannical figure. According to Jung, this symbol played a crucial psychological role in the development of the individual. In contrast to the mother, which is the protection, security, and tenderness, the father symbolizes values closely linked to the masculine: risk, adventure, struggle, effort, rational inquiry, calculation, etc. In this respect, Freud emphasized the importance of the ancient Greek myth of Oedipus.

If the subject could not be separated properly from parental influence, it triggered a complex. According to his theories, in childhood (especially four to seven years) children experience a stage of incestuous desire for the mother. The complex arises when they do not overcome this stage and begin to harbor feelings of resentment, seeing the father figure as a rival to defeat. However, the Oedipus complex usually resolves itself during puberty. (See EAGLE, AUTHORITY, SWORD, FIRE, LIGHT, and TEACHER)... The Big Dictionary of Dreams

Next to mothers, fathers usually exert the most powerful influence over our psychological makeup.

The appearance of the father or a father symbol in a dream is thus extraordinarily difficult to interpret, because the meaning depends so heavily on each individual’s experience with his or her own father.

At a general level we can say that fathers represent power, authority, caring, the law, responsibility, and tradition.

Father

The father represents the archetypal symbol of worldly authority and competence. For a man to dream of a father figure suggests that he may be searching for a role model, whether negative or positive. According to Freud, dreams that feature hostility towards the father figure could be explained by the Oedipus complex. Freud claimed that the ancient Greek myth of Oedipus was a symbolic representation of the psychological development of the male individual. He thought that children between the ages of four and seven went through a phase during which they developed an incestuous desire for the parent of the opposite sex; a young boy would therefore have feelings of resentment towards his father, whom he saw as a rival. Normally the Oedipus complex resolves itself by puberty, but in Freud’s view, the failure to achieve freedom from parental influence could result in the Oedipus complex lasting into later years.

If it does, it should be fairly apparent from the content of some of your dreams, especially if you are attacking, insulting or feeling envious towards your father.

Jung also believed the symbol of the father played a vital psychological role in waking life. He thought that a man dreaming of hostility towards his father was a positive sign, as it showed that the unconscious was dethroning the father so as to enable the dreamer to achieve a sense of self and be a person in his own right. A woman dreaming of a father figure is often dreaming of the pattern upon which all her future relationships are based; her dreams may encourage her to work out a more appropriate way to have mature relationships. The more difficult the relationship with her father, the harder this may be.

For men, a father may represent the conscience, or in Freudian terms, the superego.

If this is the case, bear in mind that your father’s prohibitions and commands will probably represent either conventional moral options that may lack relevance to your true nature or ‘destiny’, or irrational fears and feelings of guilt that began to take shape in early childhood. Of course, a dream about your father may simply express your current feelings for him and issues surrounding your relationship with him. The presence of your father may be a straightforward representation of him, or of the way you see or remember him. In any case, the reason for your father appearing in the dream will be shown by the part he plays in the dream story. Father Figure

For some people it was the father who was the ultimate arbiter of discipline and authority when growing up and any appearance of your father in your dreams may remind you of punishments he may have dished out in the past.

If the father figure was absent when you were growing up or your father never punished you severely or unfairly, your unconscious may summon up a father archetype to bring to your attention immature attitudes that are holding you back.

Your older brother, uncle or boss may assume the dream role of the archetypal father, a benevolent provider and protector who uses his authority fairly and wisely; in dreams, such figures may appear to dispense invaluable advice. Bear in mind, though, that the father figure can also abuse his authority and if father figures appear as brutes in your dreams, they may have been pointing to your own brutishness and selfishness.

If you had an authoritarian father, a wellknown dictator such as Hitler, Stalin or Chairman Mao may appear in your dreams representing that relationship.

If you dream about your boss, this may simply suggest anxieties you have about your work. Dream bosses, however, can also represent aspects of your father and dreams of being fired can recall parental rejection.

If you ask for a raise in your dream, this expresses a need for more attention and love in waking life, whilst a friendly boss reveals a longing for less responsibility.

If you are the boss in your dreams, this represents your desire for more dominance in a waking relationship.

If you rebel against your boss in your dream, this can be a positive sign, as rebelling against parental authority or challenging authority that is dictatorial and unjust is a healthy part of growing up and becoming a self-confident adult.

Houses are often represented as images of the dreamer; so a dream of a landlord or landlady, or someone else who actually owns your dream house, may suggest you are not feeling in control of your waking life; or perhaps someone, such as a partner or parent, is being overly dominant.... Father, Father Figure

Vision: Your father (or a father figure) is a symbol of your need for safety and security (particularly in women’s dreams).

For women who change partners frequently, the dream is the personification of a bad conscience (particularly if her father— when she was a child—was the primary disciplinarian).

If you yourself are the father, it means you will “create” a life. Speaking to your father: you have a suppressed longing to lean on someone or to be guided by someone. Seeing your own father: you feel you are bringing shame to your family and owe your father an apology. Dreaming about your deceased father: help is on the way or someone is making you very happy.

Depth Psychology: A father figure in a dream means a confrontation with your boss or with a person in authority. See Pastor, Physician, Priest, Teacher. You feel imprisoned. Sometimes the dream reminds you of a person who has stood by you and has given you advice in the past. What has your father contributed to the person you are today? What do you have in common with him? See Mother.... Dreamers Dictionary

Money

The significance money has in your waking life is reflected in your dream state. Money is a symbol of power and wealth. We often judge ourselves based on our ability to make it, save it, and spend it. First consider your own relationship with money and your current financial situation as this dream could be simple wish-fulfillment. As always, consider all of the accompanying details in your dream because they will help you to understand where your issues lie. Traditional dream interpretations indicate that losing money in your dream is a good omen, and that probably the opposite will happen. Generally, money may represent those things that are most valuable to you and not necessarily cash.

To find; Happiness is on the way. Paying; A distressing development. Receiving; Gratification and prosperity approaching.

To lose; An unhappy situation at home.

To steal; Watch your actions closely To see; Good things are about to happen.

To save; Predicts wealth and comfort. Missing; You’ll have concerns over finances.... The Bedside Dream Dictionary

Money

General Meaning: Money does not look the same today as it did in the time of the Old Testament. However the concept of trade and exchange certainly is the same.

• For more understanding on what money means in Scripture, look up gold and silver.

Dreams Positive:

In a positive light, money speaks of provision for your need.

• If you are having financial difficulties and dream of receiving large amounts of finances, then it is simply a picture of your desires at the moment.

• Often people dream of receiving money, but unfortunately it does not mean that this will happen in reality.

• I do believe it is an encouragement from the Lord to say that He desires to meet your need. However it is going to take more on your part to make that a reality.

• This dream was sent to give you hope, but you also need faith and love to bring it to pass.

• Dreaming of money is either an indication of your current desire, or a confirmation that the Lord will provide your need.

• Read the Way of Blessing for more on walking in prosperity.

• Visions • Positive: Although I have seen visions of money, I usually see it as gold coins in the spirit.

• Often I will see a treasure chest that is hidden and filled with money. When I see this, I know that the Lord is saying that He has provided our need, but that we must release it through prayer.

• If I see the money hidden, it is speaking of a blessing that is not so clear, but that I have to make effort to look for.

• If you see money along your road, it means that as you continue along the direction that the Lord has for you, the blessing will come automatically.

Negative: In prayer I have often seen a black hand holding onto money. This is a picture of a spirit of theft.

The enemy was stealing the blessing that God had for us.

• Also in Scripture, the love of money refers to the root of temporal values which can destroy you. It speaks of bribery, corruption, and as I said before, the root of temporal values.

• 1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Money

The meaning of money in a dream is as variable as its meaning in conscious life, and although there is some disagreement among authorities, the great majority concur that to pay, give, or lend money augurs well for all that concerns you.

Receiving money is also a good omen, providing it was honestly come by; it signifies security through development of your own resources.

To dream of finding money is a sign of mixed blessings; your financial success will be accompanied by disappointment in its effect Losing money in a dream is an omen of contrary; you are likely to have a windfall.

To change money (as paper for coins or large denominations for small, etc.) indicates problems created by your own carelessness in the handling of your affairs; a dream of exchanging money (as for foreign currency) means an increase in material wealth; to borrow money signifies a need to retrench and a warning against extravagance.

To spend money prophesies an unexpected profit, and to steal it predicts an unexpected stroke of luck.

To dream of counting or saving money promises personal happiness providing it was not done in a miserly way.

Money

Any dream that involves money is connecting to the principles of abundance, power, and freedom. In a dream, money often represents your inner resources. Your sense of personal value, power, or the ability to make something happen can be expressed by the symbol of money. As a symbol, large amounts of money can represent any sort of achievement or sense of fulfillment as an unconscious expression of desires met. No matter what the financial situation in your waking life, your dream state can find you available for limitless abundance or attached to absolute lack. Since money in life is symbolic in nature, in the dream world it can represent any form of abundance.

The appearance of this in a dream could connect to the acquisition of any desire, from a new sense of inner riches to outward expressions of expansion such as a new relationship, job, or other appearance of a heart’s desire. On the opposite side of the spectrum, money in a dream could be pointing out feelings of lack that you are experiencing in life. As a wish fulfillment or compensatory dream, connecting to money could be balancing out feelings of limitation. Money that is counterfeit is revealing a relationship to abundance that is false or inauthentic. Though it may look real, it has been manufactured with dubious intentions. In a dream, this might point to ways in which you are (or someone in your life is) trying to get away with presenting yourself as bigger than you really are. Also be willing to look at the various aspects of your current situation; are there circumstances in your life that are costing you more than you can afford? This can apply to both material and emotional conditions. Look at the amount of money or lack of money in the dream as connoting how much or little of some needed commodity appears in your life. This can be spiritual, emotional, or physical. How abundant do you feel?... Complete Dictionary of Dreams

Money / Handbag / Jewelry / Purse / Wallet

Money, cash or coins in dreams are often thought to be a sign of emotional transactions.

If you give money away, this suggests a generosity of spirit or it might reflect emotional ties that are expected of you at present. Receiving money can suggest the acceptance of emotional support or the emotional needs of the dreamer. Borrowing money can be a warning to hold back as far as financial plans are concerned and to explore all aspects of the deal before going ahead. Making a payment, signing a check or using a credit card are thought to be positive signs that things are going to plan. The notion of saving and investing in dreams may refer to the need to prepare yourself emotionally for situations and relationships that need your attention

A wallet, purse or pocketbook containing personal items may relate to your private world, the kind of person you are and your interests.

If you dream of an expensive designer purse or bag, you may feel a need to have a more glamorous image. A worn purse may symbolize feelings of being worn out and shabby. Do you need to brighten up your identity so that you look and feel brighter? Your dream wallet may symbolize your private thoughts and desires, hidden from public view. Is your wallet full or empty? Are you worried that someone has got too close to you or on the contrary are you seeking greater intimacy? A bag in your dream may symbolically carry your hopes for the future. A heavy bag suggests more projects than you can handle, whilst an empty bag—far from meaning that you have no hope—suggests that you wish to search for new ideas. Frequently associated with fruit, a basket may evoke images of fertility and sexuality. Depending on what is in the basket, it can suggest youthful energy or ripe maturity.

Finally, items of jewelry are symbols of wishes and wish-fulfillment.

If you are given a gift of jewelry in your dream, you may be experiencing a sense of recognition in waking life. Viewing a rare jewel from a distance may be a sign that you have failed to understand the importance or meaning of an event or relationship. Losing a jewel may reflect fears of personal or financial loss in waking life. See also CRYSTALS, GEMSTONES AND ROCKS; MONEY AND SHOPPING.... The Element Encyclopedia

Money And Shopping

Money in dreams represents things of great value to you, but such dreams are not necessarily about monetary value.

For Jung, money is a symbol of the power required to achieve spiritual objectives. According to Freud, it is a symbol of an orderly or obsessive personality.

If symbols associated with money, riches and wealth—such as cash, precious jewels, treasure, expensive houses and cars, and winning lottery tickets—appear in your dreams, try to identify what money means to you in a non- materialistic sense. That this symbol appears in your dreams suggests that you need to assess what is important to you in life, as well as being aware of what price you are prepared to pay for your actions and desires.

It may be that gold does not represent the precious metal to you, but rather someone who has a heart of gold or who is a winner, just as a dream of treasure might represent the people you love in your life, a wealth of knowledge or a treasury of ideas. Do you associate money with freedom, power, desirability or your own personal worth? Do you believe that money can buy you happiness? Thinking about such questions should help you identify the things you really value in your waking life and you may in turn start to question the real value of your previous goals and aspirations. Money Exchanger

In a dream, a money exchanger represents knowledge, poetry, speaking the right words, richness after poverty, a school, the fellowship of a wise man, or a scale. In a dream, a money exchanger also could represent someone who has knowledge, though no one benefit from what he knows except in mundane matters. His work relates to scientific writings, scientific arguments, dispute of authority, or questions and answers. Perhaps his only balance or criterion is his own judgment. His balance represents his tongue and ears. His weights are his only instrument for justice and judgment. His measuring pennies are his fights with people.

A money exchanger in a dream also represents a religious doctor or a scholar who takes religious questions and interprets their definitions. He also could be a dream interpreter who measures everything he takes in and gives an appropriate answer. He takes a pearl necklace for a price and gives words in return, or he takes scattered words and gives a beautiful pearl necklace in exchange.

If one who is experiencing difficulties in wakefulness changes some money in a dream, it means that his difficulties will diminish.

If one buys gold coins and gives silver money in exchange in a dream, it means reparation, financial obligations or liability. Seeing a money exchanger in a dream also represents wealth, or quick richness from suspicious sources, or he could represent an accountant, a bookkeeper, or a ledger keeper.... Neck

Vision: Looking at a swollen neck: good chances for a win and business success. Looking at a long, thin neck: misfortunes are spoiling your fun.

An injured neck or cut-off neck is a warning about dangers ahead. Wearing a shawl around the neck also is a warning—about possible throat, nose, and ear infections.

Depth Psychology: The neck stands for the connection between the head and the body (from the intellect to the material). Looking at a neck is often a warning: “Don’t risk your neck.” Sometimes it suggests taking care of all three—mind, body, and spirit. Neck / Shoulder

To see your own or another person’s neck in your dream signifies your need to control your feelings and keep them in check. Consider the familiar phrase, ‘don’t stick your neck out’, which serves as a warning against a situation.

If your neck is injured, this can indicate a separation between heart and mind.

If your neck is thick, perhaps you have been quick-tempered recently. Consider also the following idioms: breaking one’s neck, up to one’s neck, stick one’s neck out, dead from the neck up / down. Shoulders in a dream suggest strength, responsibility and burdens. Do you feel that you have much responsibility to bear in waking life? On the other hand, shoulders can also represent support and your ability to soothe others, as in the phrase ‘a shoulder to cry on’. To see your throat in your dream symbolizes the ability to express yourself and communicate your thoughts and ideas.

If your throat is sore, perhaps you are having problems expressing yourself. Alternatively, you may need to swallow your pride.

If a graceful, long neck appears in your dream, this suggests good fortune in waking life.... The Element Encyclopedia

Neck / Throat

When dreaming about a sore or painful throat, make sure that you are not being bothered by a real health issue, like a cold. Other than that, people you deal with, or annoying situations, may give you a “pain in the neck.”

As the neck is the connection between your body and your head, you are either too intellectually engaged or not engaged enough.

The throat is the place where “words get stuck.”

A sexual connotation may also be indicated, when people are “necking.” Or the idea of a close finish—as in a horse race: neck in neck.... Little Giant Encyclopedia

(Collar; Necklace) In a dream, a neckband represents stinginess.

A neckband in a dream also could represent woman’s kindness, gentleness, softness, protection and respect for her husband. Thus, for a woman, a neckband in her dream represents her husband.

If the neckband is thin, then it implies difficulties.

If it is made of iron in the dream, it represents a strong person.

If it is made from wood in the dream, it represents a hypocrite.

If a man wears a neckband over a white or a green collar in a dream, it represents victory in his life and comfort he will receive from an unexpected source.

If he is a merchant, it means profits, fame, honor and dignity. Ifhe is a common person, then the neckband means earning respect and fame.

If a tight neckband is strapped around one’s neck in a dream, it represents a stingy person no one can benefit from.

If he is a learned person, it means that no one benefits from his knowledge.

Pearl Necklace

(Covenant; Husband; Qur’im; Wisdom) A pearl necklace in a dream represents woman’s beauty and ornaments.

A pearl necklace, or a necklace made of corals in a dream also means piety, fear of wrongdoing, or an expression of reverence before God Almighty. All of that is subject to the value, beauty and clarity of the necklace, or the number of gems it holds. As for a woman, a pearl necklace in a dream represents her husband, or her young son.

If a man sees himself wearing a pearl necklace in a dream, it means that he is a seeker of knowledge, spiritual understanding and wisdom. It could also mean fulfilling a covenant, making a promise, or getting married.

If one’s wife is pregnant, it means that she will give birth to a son who will grow to be a wise person, a man of knowledge, or ajudge. This interpretation is possible in most cases except if the necklace breaks in the dream. In this case, if the necklace is broken, it means that one will break his promise, or forget his learning, become heedless, suffer eviction, deportation, or be exiled from his home or country.

If one sees himself wearing one or even two pearl necklaces in a dream, it means that he subscribes to God’s revelations, memorizes God’s Words, recites the holy Qur’iin, speaks words of wisdom, and that he is one of the carriers of the divine trust who demonstrates trustworthiness, piety, trueness, religious commitment and beauty of character. All depending on the beauty, radiance and clarity of one’s necklace.

If one sees himself in a dream carrying many necklaces and decorations, and if he finds them heavy and unbearable to carry, it represents his incompetence, or his inability to complete a job.
